The water is calm and the lake looks picturesque. There are barely any landscape markers however, just some small rocks and the mountains in the distance.
-- and be careful, the water looks deceptively shallow, it's really quite easy to sink far down.

A rose bush (?) stands in your way. It isn't very tall -- and it doesn't even have any blooms. A few lone buds are curled tightly up, but you can guess when they bloom they'll be a vibrant pink.

An abandoned carnival sits before you. Somewhere an off-kilter melody staggers forward, somewhere between creepy and just . . . not right. There is a tent ( every now and then the flap blows open and something dark and wet and rough is inside ). There is a ferris wheel, something looks wrong with its passengers. . . and then there are a few booths of games further down.

It's a library . . .? Well, was, at some point and time. And then was abandoned and the roof collapsed and it became dirty and unused and so forth. And then someone started picking up . . .
There are several distinct sections of books -- some are roped off with yellow tape, others are piled by color, some are listed by what is on the spine. It's an organizational mess . . . but someone has been in here.
The trees are pretty sickly looking. One is definitely infested with some kind of weird termite and the other just doesn't look like its getting enough sun and water.
There's also furniture, but it's all tospy turvy and out of place. There may even be more things crammed on the shelf where they aren't supposed to be and . . . well. Several unexplored areas!

YOU'RE AT THE SEAAA except that sure as fuck isn't water. It's hard to tell exactly what it is. Tar? Oil? Sewage? Either way, it's unpleasant to talk in. Ahead of you are several outposts . . . but do you really want to walk to each one . . .?

For some reason in the center of this room is a chair and a staircase . . . the floor is a little shaky but relatively sturdy ( . . . especially compared to other parts of the heart). There is a book ( open faces, pages down ) on the floor, a few cans of soda and a box of . . . something as well.
There is also a lockbox. With a chain draped around it ( though . . . not actually locking anything . . . )

You come to what might have been a house at one time, but it seems to have been taken over by a tree. You could still pass through the door . . . if you wanted.
