The water is calm and the lake looks picturesque. There are barely any landscape markers however, just some small rocks and the mountains in the distance.

-- and be careful, the water looks deceptively shallow, it's really quite easy to sink far down.

Deceptive water. Ahahaha. THAT ISN'T LIKE WHAT HAPPENS USUALLY IN OUR THREADS AT ALL.

AERIS'S SYMBOLISM IS PRETTY DIRECT IF YOU KNOW HER.

It's impossible to get to the mountains! They are absolution and uhh the sort of agreement to transcendence.

You can swim DOWN in the water for a very long time and reach the ~next zone~ which is mostly the Deeper Issues (hrr hrr) Aeris and KK have discussed. As well as where she keeps her self-acceptance and other such traits!

You can also swim across and be treated to a sort of MOSES PARTS THE SEA moment and just walk down into the area -- which comes with its own sort of set of things and discussions and tidbits.

There are also flowers floating on the water which have emotions and memories in them :B

what does parting the sea signify, I am curious.

Mostly its her barriers -- but because we're in the weird KK-Acceptance-Self-Transcendence part of her heart they will go if you do a bit of work. Water in general is protection and centering and healing and there is a lot of her Self tied up in that. It's also a big part of 'death' for her. (And 'life'). So it'll show up allllll through out her heart. Symbolically.

I guess I should say if someone she didn't like or trust went a swimming they would probably not get the sea to part for them. But if KK did it would be quite easy :B
