[UGH FINE YES YOUR CRAZY IS VERY INTERESTING TO ME. Mind dive it is!]

[ You are in a small rectangular room. The floor is covered in debris -- curls of wallpaper, broken wood, paper, more paper, candy bar wrappers, empty bottles, some broken furniture, and a lot of soot. The left wall looks torn into -- the wallpaper torn away showing wood support beams and hard concrete. The right wall is composed of six windows. The wall behind you is red brick with black grout -- there is a strong feeling of don't look behind you. don't go there. coming from that wall. There's something written on the wall in front of you. ]

[... huh! Heading over to the wall with writing, for purposes of reading it.]

[adharma]

[ There is a wheel dawn on the wall in front of you. In the center hub of the wheel are some wooden figures of animals: a very large snake wrapped around a bird that is tearing into a dead pig. There is a black ring around the hub. It looks a bit like the ring didn't used to be black, but someone's applied pencil to it and filled it in dark. Around the dark ring is a wider ring divided into six segments. There's another ring outside of the six-segmented-ring, this one is divided into twelve segments. At the top of the wheel a skull is etched, and at the four 'corners' of the wheel are four skeletal hands are drawn, holding it. ]

[hmmm. trying to smear some of the pencil off the ring with her thumb . . .]

[adharma]

[ it works! The graphite blackens her finger a bit and smears across the drawing -- careful not to jostle the wooden figures too much -- and reveals there was indeed something drawn underneath ]

[and what was the something?]

[ Six people are drawn this ring. Three moving up and three moving down. ]

Teammates, huh . . . that's interesting.

[goes to look out of the closest window to the wall.]

[ All of the windows look out onto the same landscape. It looks like the clearing and the ring where you play games. You can even see the mutant tree. Between the third and fourth window there is a big iron hook embedded in the wall.

. . . but you're also five stories up . . . ]

[right! Okay. Now time to examine the dilapidated wall.]

[adharma]

[ Is frigid. The closer you stand to it the colder you feel. If you stand too close you can see your breath. If you touch it, frost will start forming on your fingertips. ]

[does not touch. Turns, instead, to look at the do not go there wall, seeing if she can sense anything else from it.]

[adharma]

[ The bricks seem to be emanating some kind of heat. The longer you look at the wall, the more disgusted you feel. That wall is disgusting. Something about it makes you want to scratch all your skin off or gouge out your eyes. Maybe you should look away. ]

[MAYBE I SHOULD. Let's see. Hot wall, cold wall, picture wall, windows.

Time to blow this popsicle stand!! ... somehow. Going over to have a look at the hook, checking the floor for anything useful like rope or a brick as she does so.]

[ nothing useful at all! ]

[hmmmmm. Come to think of it, brushing the debris back with her feet, trying to see the actual floor beneath.]

[adharma]

[ dusty and worn and there's a pattern drawn on it -- perpendicular lines and circles and weird squiggles. But nothing useful and no trap doors or anything ]

[well. That's too bad. Do any of the bits of broken furniture have enough heft to them to break a window . . . ]

[adharma]

[ yes. there are some larger debris that you could use to break a window. ]

. . . hmm! This'll work.

[picks up two pieces of debris. Holding onto one, but throwing the other bit at the hot wall to see what happens . . . ]

[ it hits the hot wall! -- and then disappears through it. ]

[oh.]


Really? I get to choose whether to jump out a window or walk through the evil wall? I see why we called this a challenge.
