Kite is a smart but normal boy who likes to read science-fiction novels, soccer and build things until ONE DAY his best friend tops him into trying this SUPER AMAZING MMORPG he's obsessed with! SO KITE TRIES THIS MMORPG WITH HIM AND THEN HIS BEST FRIEND DIES IN FRONT OF KITE TO PROTECT HIM. Which is COMPLETELY weird because he didn't come back after as he should've and Kite felt POWERLESS, but then he went to visit him the next day since they promised they would play soccer only to find out his best friend is in a coma! Kite decides that the MMORPG is at fault, so he NEVER TELLS ANYONE and sets himself on the mission of saving his best friend no matter what. Kite is a derp boy full of optimism that believes in the power of friendship! Because, you know, Kite had a normal but happy childhood and he never had to deal with terrible stuff until he got stuck himself in The World and with trying to save his best friend. I believe Kite was sort of lonely with not a lot of close friends even if he was nice to everyone. He doesn't even know how dating works and he blushes a lot when they talk about it, so HE'S ALSO NAIVE BUT . . . not dumb. Kite is very observant and really smart, even if his derp behavior and that tendency he has to quietly notice when people is feeling sad (or when they're lying) instead of prying makes people think he's stupid. He has a very good heart and he LOVES people, he's incapable of hurting someone else. It's canon. He can't because Kite actually broke down completely when he helped to kill someone he considered a "person".
However, in canon Kite is manipulated by Cubia and while he had the Twilight Bracelet and he could destroy anything with it, he still felt powerless as his friends started to abandon him. He was also blamed for everything, he was told several times that everything bad in The World was his fault and that using the power of the bracelet to save his friend was putting everyone else in danger, but Kite still found the courage to believe that he had the power to decide how to use the bracelet and he managed to BE BETTER in the sense that he didn't let that break him. But then Kite and Cubia had to kill someone that he considered a person and Kite broke down because he couldn't take it. It was at the same time one of his best friends abandoned him (BlackRose) for it and the bracelet was making Kite really weak. IT'S IMPLIED KITE COULD'VE ENDED UP COMATOSE or worse if he had kept using the bracelet, but then Cubia took Kite to mindfuck him and kill him! Then BlackRose saved Kite and Cubia died because of it.
But in Fred, Kite had a very strong support network and since he got his memories one by one he managed to always GET BETTER even after terrible memories! His team, Asch especially, were very good at cheering him up and Kite tried his best mostly because of his team. Also because of Riku, Cubia and Mint, because they became his most important people RIGHT AWAY. Being on a team gave him the opportunity to do BETTER and try his VERY BEST because man, they had to win games and save the world! Kite took it very, very seriously. So, somehow along the line, Kite became the pillar of Tiger's Eye? KITE DID A LOT OF DUMB THINGS AND TIGER'S EYE LET HIM. Tiger's Eye decides to be kind and not ruthless because it would make Kite sad (and now Timi, too) and Kite does a lot of the chores/things around the cabin because he wants to help. So Tiger's Eye has people full of issues and most of them hide those issues from Kite, but Kite is aware that they're having TERRIBLE memories and he knows they don't want to tell him because they don't want to make him sad. While Kite is a tiny bit hurt because they don't trust him with it, Kite accepts it and then he does silly things or try to cheer them up with WHATEVER and that's also part of the reasons he does most of the chores and helps Asch cook. SO KITE WANTS TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE FROM TIGER'S EYE IS HAPPY or as healthy and happy they can be really. It's like how Kite makes sure Sophie eats more than 3 times a day and tries to spend time with everyone.
As a team, Tiger's Eye is still the same derp team as usual. THEY FOLLOW THE PATH OF BEING TRUE TO THEMSELVES NO MATTER WHAT and I want to see them in another trauma game because I'm sure it's gonna be interesting, but Kite considers his team as a family.

He would go to Kanji's world! Since Kanji asked him to, and while Cubia offered him the same thing it was before Cubia discovered he was dead so IDK. OR HE COULD STAY HERE, it would depend on how things turn out.
The short version is that Kaworu doesn't give a damn if people judge him and he doesn't care about normalcy. BUT, if someone he cares about judges him he gets frustrated and sort of upset! He doesn't like it at all, but he also knows he can't change it and he might try if it's something that hurts someone he cares about.
