OVERALL Star Driver ended just like I wanted. My ideal ending was, believe it or not, for Sugata to be in trouble, for the fourth phase allowing defeated Star Drivers to get their Cybodies back, and for Benio (and the rest of the Crux leaders, but I cared most about Benio) to fight for Sugata's sake. The only things I would have changed were for Keito to have a master plan that was less "I'M IN LOOOOOOOOOVE sapsapsap" and also I could have done without Head's out-of-left-field I WILL BECOME A TIME TRAVELER crap.
But MAN, ARE YOU AS DISAPPOINTED WITH HEAD'S ENDING AS I WAS?

No uhm. SO SAWADA TSUNAYOSHI IS NOT VERY GOOD AT ANYTHING AND THEN ONE DAY A BABY SHOWS UP AND IS LIKE YO UR THE HEIR TO THIS MAFIA FAMILY. HIJINKS HAPPEN FOR 60 CHAPTERS like various hitmen training and mafia shit it is a COMEDY!!!!!!! And then it hits its shounen shit and so forth.

YEAH. Like. The baby isn't a real baby and they have MAGICAL FLAME POWERS and people can like possess other people and summon crazy soul pokemon and shit.
VONGOLA is a family! The part of the Vongola we see are Tsuna and his generation's guardians (Ryohei, Lambo, Gokudera, Chrome(Mukuro), Hibari, Yamamoto). The older generation head and his guardians and like RANDOM VONGOLA PEOPLE.
VARIA who are an elite hit squad for the Vongola family but also have ISSUES with Tsuna. Because their head boss wanted to be Vongola heir/leader/whatever.
There are various other families.
Annnd KOKUYOU which isss Mukuro, Chrome, Ken, Chikusa, Lancia, MM and Fran. Technically Chrome and I guess Mukuro are a mist guardian for Tsuna. Though they rarely hang out with the main group and have their . . . own group . . . uh. Yes. SO YES THEY ARE?
Every time Mukuro shows up tho he's like LOL I'M JUST HERE TO BE EVIL AND TAKE YOUR BODY EVENTUALLY TSUNA!!!!!!!! /helps out.
1. He is, like, MY FAVORITE Star Wars EU character ever. As a standalone character, he's funny and snarky and quirky and good and secretly smarter than everyone else. In context, I love his backstory (his fear of the Force), his relationship with his parents, his across-enemy-lines thing for Vestara, and his "go dark, get better, and be stronger because of it" storyline in Legacy of the Force. 2. He's Jacen's apprentice, who Jacen repeatedly mindfucks (memory erasing! Lots of lying! Getting him to join the secret police and murder heads of state! Torture!). But Jacen was a genuinely good mentor once! (Mostly.) Jacen is really important to Ben's character, and Ben is fairly important to Jacen's. 3. Ben would just fit in well at Aather, whether as a knight or hero.
But I'd pretty much love anyone in the Skywalker extended clan. Tenel Ka (childhood friend turned secret lover!), Luke (I love you Uncle Luke! No wait I'm terrified you're going to kill me!), Mara (you're my only friend! No, wait, I'm going to kill you!), Leia and Han (parents I love! No, wait, parents I resent immensely for really never spending time with me!), little Anakin (tragic dead brother!), big Anakin (grandfather I sympathize with while simultaneously looking down on for being weak!), Ves Khai (Ben's evil girlfriend!), Tahiri (little Anakin's shoe-hating ex who eventually becomes Jacen's Sith apprentice!). Vergere might freak Jacen out for a bit depending on what memories he had of her, but they're bros by the end so she would be okay. The only character I'd be sort of wary of is Allana, because Jacen is a psychotically overprotective father. But no one will ever app her so I'm pretty safe there.
Are any of your characters getting laid in Aather...
I would say Traitor, just for the scenes where a) Jacen makes living armor out of snakes and b) fuck yeah Ganner Rhysode, but aside from three adventure scenes, the book is more of a mindfuck/psychodrama than a space adventure. So really: Heir to the Empire would be the most fun on screen. /boring answer that the whole fandom has
In a theoretical bizarro world where you app Keith Anyan at Aather, what is his starter memory?
Sheryl Nome (I would try to set up her memory registry so she got a song with every memory) and Eustace Clarence Scrubb (I'd start him with this really boring memory of going to really boring school and living with his really boring parents and then he would hate Aather and basically fuck up every game).
Wako: Any memory where she remembers Cybodies, geez. I'd especially like her kidnapping and Tauburn's first fight.
Caedus: The Crystal Star. Chronologically, Jacen and Jaina are five and baby Anakin is three, and they get kidnapped by a guy who pretends to be their god-father, but they figure out that he's full of shit. He suppresses their Force powers and splits them up, which HURTS because Jacen and Jaina have never been apart before, and they can't use their twin bond to communicate. They're basically in an evil boarding school (seriously, the Solo kids' section of this book could have come out of A Series of Unfortunate Events) where the kids are locked up and told that they have to serve the Empire Reborn, and the RAs like to eat delicious food in front of the kids (who get nasty soup). Then Jaina breaks everyone out and Jacen TAMES A DRAGON to ride away and then Leia finally shows up and saves them. Then Luke, Leia, and Han get eaten by a blob from another dimension. It's SUCH A STRANGE BOOK. The only downside is that it will make Caedus really grumpy about powercapping and he may make mosquitoes bite all the other knights and try to give the teams a bunch of free food...
The other memories I want are his Traitor memories. I've already mentioned it, but I love that book. I had originally planned to just give him a few scenes from it, but now I think I'll give him the whole book in four chunks.

It's really easy with Wako, because she doesn't have a lot of character change. She is and always will be the same person!
It's a bitch with Caedus and the only thing that makes me comfortable is that barely anyone knows his canon. His experiences... are a big part of him. If he hadn't been captured by Vergere, would he have turned out as Sword of the Jedi heroic as Jaina? What's the right balance between his intrinsic nature (which I pin down as Jacen between Crystal Star and YJK, honestly) and his acquired darkness? The authors never even originally planned for him to go evil -- he was supposed to die a hero in Star by Star, and little Anakin was supposed to go through the Traitor wringer and establish the third faction of the Vong War. Jacen was saved by George Lucas being a meddling dumbass. And you know what also doesn't help? The extremely inconsistent characterization of his last series, Legacy of the Force. I feel like I'm winging it and sloppy and it's kind of grargh.
No. His only romance is the one he built as a nicer teenager. He's not romantically interested in people besides Tenel Ka, even people who practically throw themselves at him. And on top of that disinterest, he'd actually be against the idea of romance once he remembers Tenel Ka betraying him. Well, he'd be against himself being in love with other people.
Why did you pick Beauty as the main character of the game, anyway? Out of all the fairy tales out there?
ON A PRACTICAL LEVEL I don't want to NPC drive things so much as PC drive things so having an inhibited NPC is good. On another . . I. . . . it just happened . . . somehow . . . . and she might not be the main character idk idk idk my bff poss plot.
