She couldn't do anything else, so she is preparing for the next time that she feels like sitting on Acedia . . . She might find some feathers or threaten to hunt down his chocolate stash depending on her mood once she's got him cuffed.

Are CC and Acedia still cool?

Does CC guess or hypothesize about people in any way or just sort of rolls along with her subtle pokes and supports?

Hrmm, C.C. is a very capable reader of people and outcomes. Funnily enough, she is a touch more systematic than Vincent about it, and does it to try to keep distance from people . . . Though, she can't just help liking people for being what they are, so she tries to figure them out that way, too. She has a lot of information and guesses about how the team is and so on, but she doesn't give voice to them. So, yeah, the pokes and supports are a planned action/reaction to people when she isn't just being moe and dere.

Acedia would rather hide in a hole forever than face the team, huh?

Uh, yeah.

I mean Mukuro is basically a 5 year old who was hurt really badly and then decided to knock over the other kids toys and set the house on fire and fuck shit up into oblivion until he grew up a bit. And even then it's a hard battle into maturity and cause/effect and consequences.

And Acedia is a lot of the childishness/growing up aspects exacerbated.

Has C.C's opinions on Ruby changed . . .

Not really. She already had her time of crisis during that first trauma game, so it is just rolling with the punches at this point. Ruby may often be a hot mess, but that is also just what they are, so she deals with it.
