Selenia's first impressions of Aather!
no subject
Oh gosh um. Very first impression was "You're old" which I think will be a reoccurring lulzy theme for Selenia during his stay here. (Especially since he does seem to be significantly older in comparison to many of the people here...at the ripe old age of
27'40'.)Not so very first impression: The people of Aather seem a bit...excitable, if their reaction to him was anything to go by. He can't quite imagine himself doing anything to warrant the 'revenge' Dawn warned him of, so he assumes there's either a misunderstanding or the fault is somehow on the other side. He's not entirely ignoring the possibility that he has done something to deserve it, but it's a distant one. It does mean that Aather's a dangerous place for him though, since theoretically anyone outside of Sapphire could be out to kill him for unknown reasons.
Overall though, there is something suspicious about beings powerful enough to draw lesser mortals in from other worlds, yet weak enough to break those heroes and then rely on them to save their own world. He is SUSPICIOUS but can't really do anything but ask around until he meets the Personae himself (and...realizes that it's a Personae). The hierarchical structure of the Heroes, Knights and Personae also strikes him as a bit odd, though again, it's not like he can do much about it. Especially not when he seems to be on the bottom rung.
In short: there are a few nice people around, but Aather is kind of a crazy place.
...So, Chesire Cat, what is your most favorite flavor of fish?

Memory you are more excited for Van to get back?

I keep changing my mind but RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT: Akzeriuth, if only because out of context it would be a serious OMFGWHAT? He's quite especially nasty in that moment, not only doing something outrageously terrible but also relishing in it...and then there's the equally lovely fall out a few moments afterwards where he essentially leaves most everyone to die.
Not something I'd want for him to get too soon but it would certainly result in fun/terrible things. *_*
I bet you answered this before but what does Acedia most like most about Dawn? For relative values of the term 'like'.

They're also well matched in some weird ways too.
I am curious '-' Are you looking for the Redemption Arc for Van or more invested in the awakening villain arc or just going to let the chips fall how they fall '-'?

The replicaDawn does seem to be good at never leaving. It feels really early to call that. I would like to see a Redemption Arc for Van simply because I doubt it's something I'd ever be able to effectively pull off in any game that didn't involve amnesia, but I don't want to try and force it either -- especially as an awakening villain has potential of its own. I'll let the chips fall where they may and hope that the end result will be satisfying, whatever that is.
And you say 'well matched'? I am curious about that, IF YOU DON'T MIND ME PRODDING INTO ACEDIA'S LOVELIFE FFFF.

Has anyone told Van about. . . himself yet?

...I think I am out of questions now fff. At some point I'll have to read Reborn, won't I?
no subject
well, it is a bit of a two sided thing. Reborn is a lot of shounen and a lot of gag but also has some other stuff tossed into it. The current arc is GLORIOUS but some of the other arcs . . . lag . . . I would say everyone should read it cos it is my golden elephant, but I also. . . almost quit when getting into it so >D
OH OH what are your thoughts on the ToA game v anime :|aaa?
no subject
I would say that the anime is good enough at what it does: condescend the main story of the game into twenty-six episodes. I imagine there are moments that would be hard to follow without prior game knowledge and some of the battles are uh, anti-climatic due to obviously being rushed, but on the other hand there are some scenes that translated really well. If you don't have access to the game, then the anime is the best substitute for it.
If you have the patience for it though, I am pretty sure there's a few loooong LPs of it on Youtube. I haven't taken a real look at many of them yet and can't offer recommendations, but that too is an option and it'll give you the sidequests as well.

The anime is still one of the better adaptions I've seen of a game. Was it easy enough to follow with 40 hours worth of game knowledge? .-.

I wish I could overcome my tragedy and actually play ToA though T_T
