Dera was Ruby, his grounding in team and there was a weird dependency on that and the worry that he'd fuck up or their past would catch up with them, etc. Dawn was very much about like, independence from that, being bullheaded, making Acedia see things, a lack of that worry. And Acedia was making headway in realizing the 'miserable heaviness' that is 'love' with luke fon fabre, lol.
Bbbbbuuuuuutttt now Dera has become his own bond in a way. It's 'Wrath' and while Wrath-with-Ruby is part of that there is also just. A strong Wrath bond. And then an obligation and connection of that. A huge stabilizing feat, I guess. So now his relation with Wrath is basically working on Wrath assss a pillar in a way. Closer to an absolute bond for him haha.
