Anyway, assumptions and so forth. I always assume Mukuro wasn't hardwired to be a TERRIBLE MCTERRIBLEPANTS. Probably a jerk, but before he slaughtered everyone he was a quiet kid who didn't speak up much and idk there are other notes for me BUT BASICALLY. As a complete amnesiac there would probably be some influences of terriblechildhood as there are, but he wouldn't be as twisted, I think. But I couldn't play that (also that's all guesswork! so). WE STARTED WITH A MEMORY OF HELL \:D/ Which is actually also guesswork but whatever it's worked for me for like the last four years.
Short of the long: Hell sucks. But it isn't really a directed suck either. It's just a general wow sucks. And then the next like 4 memories Mukuro got back have been highly inconsequential and pretty much happy or derpy. What this means is that Mukuro has a lot of his meanness or assholeness but he doesn't have that vindictive side. He doesn't remember hating the mafia and he doesn't remember wanting to killlll zaaa woooorrrlllddddd. At the same time, this kind of nukes his self-control a little. Not entirely, but when he has a goal in canon he can sort of direct better. In Aather it's like "wow that would be fun" and no strong personal desire to direct his urge or whatever. But he's also not dumb, and can sort of at least intellectualize the team dynamics and guess how people will react.
And yes, I do play Mukuro as having urges to fuck with people. His logic is not always the best when it comes to things he wants. He expected Peridot to be mad after he broke Gil's finger. And he expected them to want to break one of his! He just... miscalculated hurt feelings and SUFFERING!!1 and stuff. Human miscalculation, it is a thing that happens. BUT IT'S LIKE laughing at joke you know no one else finds funny but you totally find funny but you also know it's a hurtful joke :'D. That kind of urge, only escalate hurtful joke to breaking fingers/killing people. That is the feeeellinnng. And for Mukuro it's really the same amount of trivialness.
He has two modes! One is the general more blunt and apathetic one and the other is lolimanasshole. Neither is mutually exclusive and both are "honest" to his "feelings" at the moment. Uhhh... as mentioned above 'personal desire' isn't very high for Mukuro. He has smaller desires and he understands other people's wants to a certain extent. But in terms of things that really motivate him? Naw. Not right now. While Mukuro controls people and really sort of stomps on their birthday cakes his personal desire in canon has been destruction and not grasping ultimate power (assss faaarrr assss Iiii'vvvee readddd itttt anywaayyy) -- unlike a certain other mist guardian. IDK it is poss that Amano plans on OMG PULLING A BETRAYAL ARC, MUKURO'S QUESTION FOR WORLD POWER!!!!!!!!!1 but as least from the Kokuyou Arc his original intention seemed like world destruction and not conquering. But she does love her unsubtle parallels.
blah blah pain death blah blah. Which is basically how Mukuro feels. He doesn't have a masochistic oh iyaaa hurt me more feeling when it comes to being injured but pain isn't a very large thing for him. Death is still a concept for him but in the end it won't be a huge deterrent either. He's someone who is associated (and associates) with cycles and rises and descents. It's a loop, not a line. SO YEAH there are some things where he'll be like bleh pain but it isn't ... really normal. Right now he's at the point where it most discomforts him but even now it's like after Hell ... what else can hurt that much :/a

HMMM. Oh yes, after the finger breaking. IN GENERAL Peridot gains +.5 positive feelings. Suzaku gains +1 lol feelings. Dera gains +2 positive feelings, +.03 respect feelings. Jacuzzi and Luke get +1 exasperated feelings. Ahiru gains +2 confused feelings. Souya gains +1 positive feelings, +1 confused feelings. Mithos gains +1 lol feelings.
