He kind of...is and isn't? In that canon is basically "here is two weeks of Josh off-balance and angry and scared and exhausted and with his worldview shattered", so in a sense he's...naturally divergent from it because Aather isn't nearly as stressful. I started him with a memory that was honestly pretty zen (...with dying to protect someone important) and Tiger's Eye is a stable, calm team. So he's gotten a lot steadier than he is in canon, where he often acts like a pissy teenager -- but given the pressure he's under and how he hates being off-balance, I think his normal temperment is more even than he usually shows in the books. He's still got a temper but Tiger's Eye and Ven have done a lot to shape his conflict responses, and honestly not much has happened to trigger it.

Talk to me about good teams for Alexiel! I know basically nothing of her canon.

I AM UNSURE. She has a vast amount of canon to choose from and a variety of personality facets. She can be wholly violent and also pretty benevolent and I do plan on mixing in the Setsuna memories annnddd rhhh I am still canon reviewing, but to be honest I will probably just look at the slots that open up and go DO I FEEL LIKE THIS WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA OR NOT and then see what Zazzle thinks haha XD

Any thoughts on a second?

MANY THOUGHTS but I won't act on any of them until after Sabra is done because three is too many for me already. I've got a couple of apps that I juggle in my head at any given time, but I kind of want a knight if only for derpantics.

I still kind of want Jay, but right now he's a little close to where Josh is heading, so I might not app him after all. Cerryl is still somewhere on my list, and Dekarta Arameri from the Broken Kingdoms series pinged me super super hard. I kind of want to app Hope Estheim but he's more of a team character, and occasionally I get the irrational and overwhelming desire to app Belgareth the Sorcerer to be the laziest itinerant storyteller knight and drink with Coyote.

Does Mukuro consider Dera's heart to have been a success?

I don't think he even really considers it like that . . . He was like well, we won, ok. But he isn't necessarily peeved or motivated by a lot of heart game change. Like in the corruption games he just fucked off. IT JUST ISN'T REALLY IN HIS IMMEDIATE REALM OF THINKING.

What are Josh's thoughts on the personae?

Depends on the persona! He kind of thinks of them as individuals, more or less. He doesn't have a whole lot of resentment for them as a whole for bringing the heroes here and making them play for memories; he is actually honestly kind of grateful to be getting his memories back in small pieces, because having time to stop and think about what happened is really valuable for him. So it really comes down to whether they're assholes or not, like most people, and in some ways he also recognizes that they don't think the way people do, so sometimes they get passes (like Dream) for behavior that's harmful but not malicious. (This is also kind of why he's fond of Jacobi; she's honestly trying to learn something, even if that something is kind of creepy, and she's not doing it maliciously.)

Does Aeris have thoughts on them?

Not particularly because I suck at playing with them.

If Josh could run games what would they be like?

He'd probably run football. XD And maybe he'd run one where it looked like it was going to be a bad game, but where the teams that chose to take the hit for others would be rewarded, and nobody actually died. Maybe, like, pelted with beanbags if they were all like "let's sacrifice everyone else!" I don't think he really would, though, but if Mal or Beauty came to him and said "Design a game, we'll run it", he'd be tempted.
