QUESTION MEME

I broke 20k I am allowed.

ASK ME THINGS if I was in your question meme and it is my turn and I forgot you can punch me too. I play Acedia/Mukuro and Aeris. And I NPC Dream, Beauty, Three of Three and Cheshire Cat. I guess I am also a mod so you can ask me game questions but I reserve the right to just reply in keysmashes.

They're... married...

It's not very complicated at this point! They're just totally comfortable with each other, and when they get back to Sterling after Aathering for a while they flop all over each other and talk about their days and work on dumb personal projects. Both of them can usually tell where the other one's coming from or understand it if it's explained, and they're pretty good at bouncing ideas and feelings off of each other when necessary, so it just... works really well! The relationship is a bit of a safe space for both of them.

Of course every so often one of them remembers something horrible that Mithos did and Lloyd has to ragequit or Mithos has to sadquit for a while, but they have both accepted this and are sturdy enough to deal with it after the initial FLKDSJGHDFG. They're partners and the stuff they were fighting about at home was horrible; neither one of them want to repeat it, so in the end they're committed to not letting memories stop them from being friends. :<

What would Mukuro do if Dera dropped?

The way you see her in S1 is a big part of her! She's soft-spoken and cutesy and astonishingly calm when faced with situations such as "a crazy person has strapped you to a bomb." She thinks that it should be possible for people to not kill each other in huge numbers and try to hurt and manipulate each other! That would be nice. She's also extremely passive in her relationship with Lelouch, because she loves him best and wants to be with him, and let's face it, when the object of your love is Lelouch and he's obsessed with you, THIS IS NOT A TERRIBLE ROLE TO TAKE. He's a bit controlling, is Lelouch. When she's annoyed she's only ever really passive aggressive about it, like telling Lelouch that she got sick because she missed him so much, oh no, it's like my body is reflecting how sad I am that you're gone so often now :')

In S2 you learn a bit more about her using the passive role to be maniuplativeeee, though. You find out at the finale that she has some kind of ability to touch people and tell if they're lying/what their strongest thoughts then are, which makes her habit of taking someone's hand when she's asking them questions during the course of the series a lot more suspect suddenly. She gets made governor of Japan as a political power play against Lelouch and she uses the position, which is frankly a sop, to try to make some changes. When Schniezel tries to use her in yet another play against Lelouch, she plans to use the opportunity afforded by him using her in order to carry out a plan that was the mirror of Lelouch's - focus all the rage of the world on herself. So she has the same ability to use the enemy's terrain for her own purposes as her brother! There's clearly a looot going on with her that the show never explores with her in Lelouch's shadow, which is why I wanted to app her somewhere I could put her in a situation where she had to oppose him in some way from the beginning and develop an active role outside of their mutual siblingobsession.

Who's a twin you'd like to app to Aather...

NOPE. Twins aren't a particular ping of mine and I don't tend to notice them.

Tell me about a thing you liked that surprised you! From a genre that you'd normally say was totally out of your interests, maybe.
brotagonist: Lloyd: neutral/derp/? (maybe GBS will write a song about it.)

Hmmm. Redemption is a huge ping! Especially when it's like someone who's all... oh well I'm still a terrible person but I guess I'll... have feelings now... yes... (unsure)... oh god I've become lame and topped...

To that end I like self-aware and sympathetic villains who are also dumb. I also love the jesii that fix them! I love when Everything Is Terrible but people still believe in each other as friends and there's a thread of it being okay to still have hope and faith in other people in terrible circumstances. The "nakama" kind of concept is part of this! This means that I like an awfully broad array of stuff because things like Fruits Basket and One Piece and Digital Devil Saga all ping me in the same place. I like stories where a happy end is possible even if it's not necessarily what you want, where people being both shitty and awesome is explored, and if there's a large supernatural or scifi element it helps a ton, because my favorite stuff is about what makes people people and "is being a person a thing if you have something that wants to eat everything in your head" is the kind of stressor that brings out elements I enjoy. THIS IS GENERALLY WHAT I MEAN WHEN I SAY I LOVE VORE AND DRAGONS AND MONSTROUS THINGS though I also just. enjoy the aesthetic of those things.

Innn general I love when characters are inhuman or can't resolve on a normal way of looking at things. Some kind of disassociation or lack of affect with human thinking is one of my major pings. I can love characters despite this, but I tend to never play them unless there's something else there for me to work with — Lloyd isn't normal in how he deals with bad crap happening and he Lloyd Irvings at everything, so there's enough disconnect there for me to work with, and Nunnally is a great example of how a lot of Geass characters have this constructed reality/lies as truths thing going on. THERE HAS TO BE A CERTAIN LEVEL OF FUCKED UP FOR ME TO STAY INTERESTED! Characters that have more than one level to what's going on with them or lots of stuff beneath their surface appearance are also a big ping. Generally characters who can't be reached at all emotionally bore me.

What makes you intersted in a psychopath? I know you like Dietrich but wouldn't like playing Light, for example, unless I am making that up.

you'd probably like that dude in Geass who kept stalking C.C. and Lelouch everywhere and tying Nunnally to bombs and things. Remember him? HE STRUCK ME AS AN AJ TYPE...

It's sad because I don't think I tend to notice AJcrazy people because they're out of my ping zone.

Pimp ME somebodyyyy.
