I actually do think so! In Aather he has an infinitely healthier environment for stability than he ever does in canon and he doesn't have a century of memories of being fucked up to fuck him up, he's only getting things back in a trickle. He's already really far from canon in terms of respect for other people and his reactions to violence, although he definitely still has tendencies and weaknesses that could potentially flare up depending on what happens. I guess to a certain extent it depends what you mean by problems :|a like I'm not sure he'll ever overcome his intense need to be liked and insecurity about his place in the team, but that could actually serve to restrain him from doing stupid things that he would otherwise do. Then there's stuff like his issues with humanity, where it's quite possible for him to see average humanity as monstrous but still function in Aather perfectly well because Aather is not Earth and it's easy to say that the people there are different. So I'm not sure how that's going to develop \o/

But in a nutshell he's already way way way stabler in Aather than in canon and that looks likely to continue unless something happens to shake it, and even then I can't think of anything that could fuck him up permanently except for being utterly rejected by his team, and idk how that would happen.

Do you think Acedia's ever going to stabilise his self-image?
