I keep changing my mind but RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT: Akzeriuth, if only because out of context it would be a serious OMFGWHAT? He's quite especially nasty in that moment, not only doing something outrageously terrible but also relishing in it...and then there's the equally lovely fall out a few moments afterwards where he essentially leaves most everyone to die.

He is still not used to the idea of not having to pay for everything with sex, and keeps waiting for someone to ask him for payment. He's verrrrry uncomfortable with people, and doesn't know how to talk to most of them. Especially since they keep asking him to call them by name, and he half-expects to get beaten for doing so. This is what you call a lose-lose situation! (This also means that Van/Selenia not arguing the "my lord" thing automatically earned him points because at least it's like he's got SOME LEVEL of footing here!)

He does like his team, though. Sapphire is very nice, and they treat him well. .__. (PS Mau is his favourite.) He's not actually sure about this whole "memory regain" thing he keeps hearing about, but until it actually affects him, he just wants to do whatever he can to help out his team in life as it happens in Aather. He is very much living for the moment right now, not the past or the future. He wants to be useful, and will do whatever they need of him.

hilariously it really couldn't have gone much different. It's not really that 'bad choices were made' so much as they didn't anticipate what the increase in their issues would do. They certainly could have gone about it SMARTER, but not much of what they did was actually stupid.

ANYWAY BASICALLY, Lucifer fully intended the game to be thrown if necessary. he did NOT WANT ANY BEHEADINGS!! Peridot has had a hard time lately and they JUST CAME TO CONCLUSIONS that he wanted to reinforce, so he wanted some good Peridot feelings flowing. He was aware that his sadism would probably increase from the first bet, if they won, but whether he lost it or increased it, it would make a less significant difference than basically any of the others. so he was like k whatever. All of peridot bet the minimum and went for the tarts thing because he figured it would be a good way to test whether the cat was telling the truth about the blank words!

That is probably the only stupid thing actually I guess. If had not been playing three characters Lucifer would've read all of the things and picked more smartly but I didn't have time 8D;

ANYWAY. So first they eat the tarts and that is nice, Lucifer decides to go all in because he can handle it! He doesn't ask anyone else to, but Ratatosk does, and so does Cassie. The next one is lungs, he volunteers for this. It's painless and not really a big deal and he doesn't much care, but all of his stats get doubled so he focuses hard on the Big Plan and not murdering his entire team for lulz. WHICH HE CAN HANDLE!

They go all in again because why the fuck not, and it is headcutting. AT THIS POINT I DIDN'T PARTICIPATE BECAUSE I HAD TO MAKE DINNER and when I came back, Cassie and Ratatosk had already decided to cut their heads off, otherwise Lucifer would have volunteered probably. But he doesn't think this matters significantly. He worked the guillotine voluntarily because lol 8D; Sadism off the charts.

HOWEVER, backing out wasn't really an option FOR HIM because as much as lucifer with his stats multiplied is bad, Lucifer without his 'give no fucks' stat is a psychopath who would kill everyone on a rage high. He couldn't afford to lose it, basically!

So he killed his teammates, then threw away all of their points to fix them, and spent points on fixing himself to the point where he wouldn't murder anyone in the near future \=D/

He's pretty cranky about it, HILARIOUSLY FOR MOSTLY THE RIGHT REASONS? which is that he wanted Peridot to have a good game and totally failed to achieve that. And it's just =T and now he's doing damage control with cassie (s-slowly...)

oh god, every single unpleasant game ever, pretty much. HE'S TIRED OF THE PERSONAE MESSING WITH THE PEOPLE HE LOVES. At first, while he thought Aather was a pretty lame place, he could sort of deal with it because Elliot was alive. But then heart games and realm swap and painful games and now he just... yes. He hates 99.9% of the Personae with his everything and is plotting their demise... somehow. The biggest trigger was obvs the last game with his Coral friends getting trauma'd and the dead teammate and Oz all messed up and... yes. :E

DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS FOR BREAK WHEN HE COMES BACK?

It feels really early to call that. I would like to see a Redemption Arc for Van simply because I doubt it's something I'd ever be able to effectively pull off in any game that didn't involve amnesia, but I don't want to try and force it either -- especially as an awakening villain has potential of its own. I'll let the chips fall where they may and hope that the end result will be satisfying, whatever that is.

And you say 'well matched'? I am curious about that, IF YOU DON'T MIND ME PRODDING INTO ACEDIA'S LOVELIFE FFFF.
